Thomas is a Connection Curator, Social Entrepreneur and Thought Leader, whose first love is developing our youth and giving back to our communities. You may know him from his company Date While You Wait. As the founder of Date While You Wait, Thomas developed innovative ways to inspire and connect with people from all walks of life. Thomas has been interviewed by “The New York Times”, CNN, “Huffington Post”, and CBS. He has aslo been invited to several countries and colleges all around the world to speak about the importance of communication and human interactions.
Olushola Bashorun is an American born Nigerian raised in NYC. Photography is one of his modes of communication, and it employs him the right to convey whatever he chooses, giving everyone who views his message a complete perspective on a concept which has no bounds on how it should be interpreted. He has been communicating with Photography faithfully for about 6 years, 3 of which he was employed professionally from anything in between concerts to weddings, and editorial works. One thing he’ll always love about Photography is how easy it is to capture a moment, which takes just seconds to evoke to then create a point of reference that lasts forever.
Jonathan Jackson is the Head of Corporate Brand at Blavity, where he looks to push the story and ideology behind Blavity to new markets and establish strategic partnerships with new partners. He spent the past three years at LinkedIn in various roles across HR, Advertising, most recently as an Editor overseeing the Influencer Program, which brings together 500 of the world’s top thought leaders to engage with LinkedIn’s 400M members through rich insights and original content. As a writer and strategist, his work focuses on the intersection of people, influence, and culture. He graduated from Washington University in 2013, where he studied Political Science and Writing.
ANDRE L. PERRY
Lifestyle photographer enthusiast, Andre L Perry, embraced his visual style as a much-needed creative outlet to cope with his depression. Depression stripped his life of its beauty and color, but looking through a lens slowly painted it all back. People and places that he once would have walked right passed were now standing out. They were appealing and revealed something to be admired.
In the midst of a well-paying job in Ad Operations, his passion for lifestyle photography was formed. After many sleepless nights, Andre finally walked away from his job and embarked on his photographic journey. His work is driven by moments that feel organic and emotions that are honest. His images became known for it’s vibrant light, whimsy, playfulness and spontaneity. Today, he remains inspired by his travels, his skateboard and his strong belief that life happens outside the studio.
Cameron McDonald, Panama Chavis, Ryan Davis and Ashante Diggs are the core founders that fuel Camp Ryan. Camp Ryan started in 2015 to bridge the gap between intention and action by creating the world’s premier ecosystem for positive action. Over 4000 individuals have been served through Camp Ryan’s curated experiences such as The Good Weekend, The Hunger Games, DAMN SUMMER, and more. Camp Ryan believes cultural and social change can be built by the people, for the people. We are Camp Ryan.
Davis Northern is an award winning filmmaker from South Pennsylvania. He has been a Cinephile since 5 years old. A great deal of his life has been spent at the cinema, a place that was both an escape and an adventure from one world to the next. He graduated with a degree in Film and Theatre, and matured into professional filmmaking through Camera Assisting and Digital Imaging. Throughout the years, he’s accomplished becoming a member of IATSE 600, and has transitioned into Directing commercials and narrative content. His diverse life experiences have both deepened his passion for storytelling and intensified his itch to develop films to emotionally touch audiences across the globe.
Amir Muhammad Figueroa is a captain of Harlem Run, an ultra-marathoner, and a powerful change agent. After running the 2010 NYC Marathon and pushing beyond his limits, Amir discovered just how meaningful his connection to running could be. Armed with a firm commitment to community-building and creating movements, Amir proudly leads the walking group at Harlem Run to ensure that people of all abilities feel welcomed.

Exploring the luxurious combined with the accessible; Mr. Refined is creating new ways for gentlemen to see themselves, indulge and maintain a budget to invest in their futures. It is a marriage of the apsirational with the attainable. Mr. Refined launched its first print edition Spring 2016.
Kells Barnett has been surrounded and influenced by fashion his whole life, designing & sketching his own clothing since the age of 17. Kells knew his calling was in fashion design and/or the business of fashion. Growing up in the business and getting a hands-on learning experience under the mentorship & guidance of Guy Wood, Kells gained the knowledge of the fashion industry at an early age. It was only becoming that at the young age of 25, he would become an integral force in business and marketing and eventually claim the title of Director of Marketing at custom clothier, 5001 FLAVORS, and its bespoke retail expression, Harlem Haberdashery.
